Nathaniel has planned the perfect summer hike for us.
Where: Meet at the public launch ramp in Tulista Park beside the Anacortes ferry terminal.
When: 10:00 am on June 26.
We will ride aboard the Peanut to Sidney Island, circle the public part of the island by foot, then find a nice place for a picnic. Make sure you pack a lunch that is worthy of our surroundings.
If you have questions about the location of the ramp send a note to Nathaniel and he will explain it more fully.

A new plan for May
We've changed the date of the May hike, and we have a great plan (thanks to Devon and Ian):
New date: Sunday, May 31st
Destination: Parkinson Creek Trailhead (on the Juan de Fuca Trail).
Parkinson Creek Trailhead is located at Kilometer 37.6 of the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail and provides access to begin or terminate a 10 kilometer hike to (or from)Botanical Beach or a nine kilometer hike to (or from) Sombrio Beach. From here you can hike east to Sombrio or west to Botanical Beach. There are two campsites close by - Payzant Creek at Kilometer 40 and Little Kuitsche Creek at Kilometer 33.5. This intermediate section of the trail winds through regenerated logged areas and some old growth forest fringe and along spectacular rugged shoreline. Keep a wary eye out for marine mammals and other wild life.

Let's meet at Serious Coffee (Westshore, of course) at 8 am. We need to head out by 8:30 to give us travel time.
Pack a lunch, bring your lunch, your dog and your raincoat (just in case).

Rod knows the way
This is our rugged hiking companion, Rodney, in a previous incarnation. A dressy, penny-farthing cyclist. His french daughter, Victoria, is in the bottom left.
Sunday, March 29 - Pearson College
We've moved hiking day for this month from the 22nd to the 29th.
Let's meet at Serious (Westshore) in time for a nice, hot cup of coffee (8:00), and head out by 9:00.
Rod is going to lead the way for a great hike at Pearson College. If this rain continues the waterfall should be in fine form.
